Voting and Flooding and Drugs! OH MY!

Ah, welcome to the last 24 hours in Ohio.

First up, the elections. No, I'm not going to tell you who I voted for. No, I'm not going to give a campaign plug for a specific candidate or party. What I am going to do is pose a question: when will we EVER have a viable independent candidate for President? Will I still be alive? Will we ever get to the point when we can abolish this polarizing party system and give our democratic republic candidates who can stand by their own opinions instead of relying upon party money in order to buy their way into the offices of power in this country? Hell, at this point I'd consider voting for Ross Perot, UFOs notwithstanding.

Hell, I might consider voting for Nader.

Second, on the topic of the weather--allow me to state that I hate Ohio in the late winter. Why? Yesterday it was seventy degrees. Today we got over 3 inches of rain (which has brought the local river to 4 feet above flood stage) and right now we're getting ice. We're supposed to get up to 1/2 inch of ice tonight followed by snow tomorrow and single digits this weekend. Damn that groundhog anyway--I have some crockpot recipes for groundhog around here somewhere...

And finally, riddle me this: why is it that my pain medicine in a 5/325 dosage cost me $40 a month and in a 7.5/325 dosage it cost me $211? hmmm?

Just a few questions. Happy Hillary day.
