I'm still working on the series although I'm querying on a dystopian YA at the moment. <br /><br />But when anyone asks my what I write, the conversation nearly always goes awry. Whenever I answer fantasy they ask me 'Like Harry Potter?'. *sigh* Not that he isn't great, but I've never even read them myself. I just couldn't get into them. Next question: 'Like Twilight?' Eventually, we get around to elves and the proverbial Tolkien reference.<br /><br />If I say I write young adult, I usually get the same responses regarding Potter and Twilight, but none of the strange 'so girls wearing armor and wizards and dragons eating people' questions. <br /><br />It's bizarre what people think of first when you name a genre.
